Greetings from your Pastor & the Deacons of Hillview:

It has been a long hard year, but there’s light at the end of the tunnel!

Some of our COVID restrictions are being relaxed! Not all are, but some of them are, thank you Lord! We feel it’s time to start transitioning to a more permanent worship style that gives us more freedom, yet still allows for a very safe environment. With the Covid vaccine readily available, many of our number have received their first injection, and some have now received the second injection which makes us feel comfortable in relaxing the former Covid guidelines.

Beginning on Palm Sunday, all areas of the church will be opened during Sunday morning Worship Service, and there will be no orange barrier tape spacing out seating in the sanctuary. You can now sit anywhere you like, but please continue to practice social distancing, and use common sense by refraining from hugging, shaking hands, etc. Since we are well trained now, sitting a comfortable distance from each other should not be a difficult task.

Mask wearing will no longer be mandated, however, anyone who feels more comfortable continuing to wear your mask is encouraged to do so. For everyone’s safety, we highly recommend anyone who has not received the vaccine to continue wearing your mask. If you have been exposed to Covid19 or other infectious diseases, please stay at home and join us live on Facebook.

Congregational singing will be increasing to 3 hymns. Two will be sung at the beginning of the service, and one at the end just before the benediction. There will also be special music added to the service as well. The choir will NOT be singing at this time.

There will be two services on Easter Sunday. The first will be an abbreviated service held at 8:00am, and the second will be the regular worship service held at 10:00am. We will observe the Lord's Supper during the second service only (10:00am) on Easter Sunday. NOTE: The church will supply coffee, juice, and donuts in the fellowship hall after the 8am service. *PLEASE DO NOT BRING ANY FOOD* Hillview will provide everything. The second service will begin promptly at 10:00am, and you are welcome to come to either or both the 8am and/or the 10am service.

Please be in prayer as we step out in faith to implement these relaxed adjustments and guidelines concerning our Sunday services. Other announcements are coming soon concerning the Tuesday & Wednesday Connect Groups. For now, those will remain the same. Please be sure to contact Bro. Ed Evans for a possible time change for his Connect Group class on Tuesdays. PT’s Wednesday evening Connect Group will continue on Zoom at 7pm for now.

We are still counting on everyone to do their part to keep each of us safe, but believe we are headed in the right direction with these changes. Thank you all for your cooperation and understanding during this most unusual and unprecedented time.
